Blue Water Babes Fish For A Cure

In our last Sunblock Challenge event at the Grand Slam KDW, we caught up with some amazing women who are shaking things up in the fishing world!  Blue Water Babes is a non-profit organization where women bond to “Fish For The Cure”.  Jennifer McGrath and Christine Rinker are the founders and whose lives have been touched by the devastating disease of breast cancer.  Both of their sisters are breast cancer survivors.  So their passion for Fish For A Cure truly comes from their heart.

Their inaugural event last year raised $50,000 benefiting the Cancer Allliance of Help and Hope (CAHH) in Tequesta, FL  and the Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper (H.O.W.) in West Palm Beach, Florida.

This year’s event will take place on October 1 & 2, 2010 at the Castaways Marina in Jupiter, Florida. It will be a fun event where they expect over 100 boats in a  boat decorating contest, auction for male cabana boys, cocktail contest and amazing raffle baskets.

So put this on your calender as a must attend event and we, at Sunblock Challenge, are very proud to support their cause. For more information, please call Christine or Jennifer at 561-847-2090.
They also are having an unveiling for a commemorative print by local artist, Julie Silk Beaumont on July 22nd.  The print will be auctioned off that night and posters will be made of the print. All for a great cause. Click on the link  for PDF event brochure: Commemorative Print Event July 22.
